Background: from German & English studies to performance marketing in Amman
I studied German and English for Business and Communication at German Jordanian University, with an exchange year at Philipps University of Marburg studying German art and communication. That's also where the German came from: Goethe-Zertifikat B1, on top of native Arabic and fluent English.
My first marketing job was a communications internship at InterNations in Munich, handling press releases and media monitoring, about as far from performance marketing as it gets. From there: social media for a public figure in Kuwait, a communications role at Manaseer Group in Amman running 360° campaigns, and then into performance marketing proper at Prezlab & Wizardly, where I still work today. How I got into performance marketing
The shift happened at Manaseer Group. I was running social content and a 360° campaign for "Shield Manaseer," and the part I actually enjoyed wasn't the creative, it was checking whether the campaign worked. That pulled me toward the paid and measurement side of marketing rather than the content side.
By the time I joined Wizardly as a Marketing Executive, that had turned into restructuring Google Ads accounts, building lead scoring systems, and integrating CRM automation, the systems work behind the ads, which is still what I spend most of my time on now as a Senior Performance Marketer.
